THE SCIENCE OF THE LAST SON

It is unclear to many how exactly the Last Son can access its abilities, especially some of the ones on the stranger side. Studies show that this is because of a newly discovered DNA instruction, which we have dubbed a Skaian instruction. This matches the translated text of SITE VII.

For example, while most people in the world have GCATACTAGCGATGA-style DNA, the DNA of the Last Son is more like GCATSGCATSGCATSGCATSGCATS. This Skaian gene can be transferred to others, with varying results from person to person. Examples of this include the three scientists in the Last Son project, as well as subjects DELTA (Thea Coeus) and EPSILON (Michael Arch). Although these abilities seem to generally match up with the twelve "Aspects" listed at SITE VII, Dr. (Esther) Coeus's abilities seem to be a mixture of the Death and Energy aspects.
